Innovation and Creativity are key drivers of economic growth and well-being and it’s important to foster the skills affecting creative and innovative behaviour by Education and Training systems. Especially Vocational Education and Training (VET) is supposed to produce very job-specific, narrow skills that meet the requirements of concrete occupations in the labour market. Thus, it is crucial to investigate to what extent and by which methods VET is able to enhance broader skills that contribute to innovative and creative behaviour. In this context, the symposium serves to strengthen the dialogue on this topic between different stakeholders in the VET sector.
