One of the tasks that EENEE conducted for the European Commission is to provide a detailed mapping of the major research centres and experts in the economics of education in Europe and beyond. This led to the construction of two searchable databases.
The Experten Datenbank contains main experts and leading research centres in the economics of education. The EENEE network members were meant to make limiting choices here, and the inclusion of experts in the economics of education was based on their substantial contributions to the advancement of research in the field. This research had to be evidenced by publications in the economics of education in leading international refereed journals that get the most citations in the field. Obviously, the database is a first list of current experts in the field which can evolve in the future. This database is freely searchable and provides you with the opportunity to easily find the main experts and centres in different countries and in different areas of expertise. To search the database, please click here.
The Datenbank europäischer Bildungsökonomen is an open platform. This general list of education economists in Europe offers researchers interested and working in the area the opportunity to present themselves and their field of interest to the European community of researchers and practitioners in the economics of education. If you work in the area and would like to have your name on the list, please simply send an email to eenee@ifo.de with the relevant information (name, address, phone, email, website, area(s) of expertise according to this list, and your credentials as an education economist evidenced by your CV and publications in the area).
Note: EENEE does not screen the information made by individuals for the Education Economists in Europe Database for its validity. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the validity of the data and statements in this database.
